I began with u2-web as a rough guess. Their reviews were decent and their prices very very good. Everything I install on that site via their Fantastico interfaces works almost always right away. The very few times there was a problem, I either got support from their online forum or directly from u2-web and the problem was promptly resolved. At first I thought ALL fantastico hosts were the same, but they are not. I started another at another web host for another organization for which I was very restricted in who I could work with. Well, that other webhost is just a royal pain. I think they are trying but stuff just doesn't work. So if you want an inexpensive AND very functional site, U2-WEB is the way to go.
